Most of it was built from the early 1980s through the mid 1990s in lettered sections, and streets like East Course Drive and West Course Drive trace the fairways. Homes are mostly single-family with some townhomes, and many golf-front lots look across the course to Brushy Creek and its ponds. HOA arrangements vary by section; recent listings show some with annual dues as low as about $50 and others with no HOA at all, which is unusual for a golf neighborhood this close to Tampa. There is no master gate. The result is a relaxed, established setting with mature trees, sidewalks and a public course as the shared green space. Because rules and dues differ from section to section, ask for the deed restrictions on any specific address. Buyers who want golf views without club dues or a large HOA often end up comparing Northdale with Carrollwood.

Northdale Golf and Tennis Club is an 18-hole Ron Garl design spread over more than 180 acres around Brushy Creek and several small lakes. Water comes into play on 11 holes, and many holes run in parallel pairs, a classic Florida neighborhood routing that keeps homes along both sides of the fairways. The course plays as a friendly, approachable track that still asks for careful shots around the creek. It operates as a public facility, taking tee times through online booking, so residents and visitors play on the same terms. The club also has tennis, which gives the facility its name. The address is 4417 Northdale Boulevard in Tampa. Tee times are posted through late 2026, so the course is active. For golfers who later want a private club, Carrollwood Country Club and Avila are both within about ten minutes.

Living in Northdale: location and lifestyle

Northdale is close to almost everything in north Tampa. Dale Mabry Highway and the Veterans Expressway are a few minutes away, putting Tampa International Airport about 20 minutes away and downtown Tampa about 25 minutes outside rush hour. Grocery stores, restaurants and services line Dale Mabry and Bearss Avenue, and Carrollwood and Citrus Park have more shopping within about ten minutes. County parks in and around Northdale add ball fields and open space. Lake Carroll and the Carrollwood Cultural Center are a short drive south. Because so much of Northdale has open streets and sidewalks along the fairways, early morning and evening walks around the course loops are part of daily life here. Golfers who want a change of scenery can reach Cheval, Avila and Westchase within about 15 minutes, and the public courses at Babe Zaharias and Rogers Park are about 20 minutes south.
