About Hunter's Green
Hunter's Green sits on the east side of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard in New Tampa, with 23 residential enclaves behind a staffed gate. The country club clubhouse opened in 1989 and most homes were built in the early to mid 1990s, so the neighborhood has mature landscaping and settled streets. The land includes 43 lakes and about 65 acres of protected wetlands, which gives many lots water or preserve views. Housing covers a wide spread: patio homes and villas, townhomes and condos, larger single-family homes and large golf-front estates. The Hunter's Green Community Association runs the master amenities, and many enclaves have their own sub-association rules and fees on top. Community amenities outside the club include lighted tennis courts, basketball and volleyball, ball fields, a jogging trail with exercise stations, parks and an off-leash dog park. The private country club sits alongside but is a separate membership, so buyers can choose a home first and decide on the club later.
The golf at Hunter's Green
Hunter's Green Country Club's championship course was designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 1989. It was carved from native pine flatwoods and wetlands and plays from about 5,100 yards up to nearly 7,000 yards across its tee sets, with TifEagle greens on all 18 holes. The club also has an 18-hole Future's Course, a par-63 layout of about 2,700 yards built for short-game work and newer players. Practice areas, lessons, clinics and a fully stocked golf shop round out the golf side, and the club runs a full calendar of tournaments and events. Off the course, members have racquet sports, a fitness center, a pool and dining. The club is part of the Invited network and is private, so play is for members and guests. Residents can join through optional plans for an added fee, and membership is not tied to the deed.
